stats4PT examines how observations become evidence, estimates, and warranted scientific claims through statistical inference, uncertainty, Bayesian reasoning, causal reasoning, and critical reflection.

Its eight self-hosted lessons serve physical therapists, educators, students, and researchers. As discovery scholarship, stats4PT contributes candidate evidence and causal knowledge to model building; it does not own comprehensive model integration or patient-specific practice reasoning.

A muscle-centered approach to clinical physiology for physical therapy.

Physiolog combines a 12-chapter open textbook with interactive cardiovascular models. It treats circulation, respiration, renal regulation, and extracellular fluid as integrated support systems for muscle function and movement.

The project grew from approximately 30 years of teaching and addresses a practical curriculum gap: medical physiology texts are broader than DPT needs, while exercise physiology texts often lack sufficient clinical context. Its generative-mechanism knowledge makes a distinct contribution to integrative causal model building.

A public program for understanding how movement emerges, how it can be measured, and how movement knowledge becomes useful for one person.

Movement Systems brings biomechanics, neuromechanics, motor control, motor learning, task performance, adaptation, and context into a clinically grounded systems account of human movement. It contributes movement-domain knowledge to the Clinical Inquiry Ecosystem without treating a population model as a patient conclusion.

The Human Movement Systems Laboratory is its empirical research program. The HMS Lab turns observations and questions from physical therapy into governed measurement, experimentation, mechanistic explanation, modeling, and renewed inquiry. It supports Plymouth State University DPT’s clinicians-first, hands-on learning philosophy and connection to the Pro Bono Clinic while keeping clinical care, education, and research distinct.
